Commercial Development Formal Review

  New Development Requires:
  • Project Number of approved Civil and Architectural Plans indicated on commercial application if submitted after 10/01/09.
  • Notarize Notice of Detention Affidavit is required for detention ponds not maintained by HCMUD. An Affidavit Filing Fee is applicable.
  • Notarize Fill Affidavit is required for grading/leveling, clearing and grubbing (cut and fill projects), and fill placement.
  • Elevation Certificate(s) (Sites located within the Shaded Zone X and Flood Plain) are required if datum is not shown on the foundation drawings.
  • Harris County Health Department Approval for eateries and portable food units, www.hcphes.org.
  • Harris County Septic Permit for development(s) utilizing individual onsite septic systems.
  • A completed Commercial Permit Application is required.
  • A Completed Driveway/Culvert Application for entrances requiring culverts.
  • Engineered Foundation Drawings with Harris County Flood Plain Notes (Sites located within the Flood Plain).
  • Scouring Analysis (Sites located within the Floodway).
  • Hydraulic Analysis (Sites located within the Floodway).
  • Storm Water Quality permit (if applicable).
Existing Commercial Site with New Development Requires:
  • A completed Commercial Permit Application is required.
  • Project Number of approved Architectural Plans indicated on commercial application if submitted after 10/15/09.
  • Harris County Septic Permit for development(s) utilizing individual onsite septic systems.
  • A completed Driveway/Culvert Application for entrances requiring culverts.
  • Harris County Health Department Approval for eateries and or portable food units, www.hcphes.org.
