The Development /
Right-of-Way Inspections section is responsible for the
oversight of development on private property. They are tasked with ensuring
construction activities are built in accordance with the permits issued.
They are also charged with issuing violations for unpermitted activities.
Their scope includes but is not limited to; signs, detention ponds, floodplain management,
new driveways, culverts, cut and fill site work, drainage channels and structures. In addition, this group
is responsible for assessing storm and flood damage in unincorporated Harris County
immediately following an event. The following website can be used to file complaint
