The Private Development Inspections section is responsible for the oversight of development on private property. They are tasked with ensuring construction activities are built in accordance with the permits issued. They are also charged with issuing violations for unpermitted activities.

Their scope includes but is not limited to; signs, detention ponds, floodplain management, cut and fill site work, drainage channels and structures.
